554 FNUS72 KFFC 281234 FWSFFC Spot Forecast for Redlands Dove Field...US Forest Service National Weather Service Peachtree City GA 834 AM EDT Thu Aug 28 2025 Forecast is based on ignition time of 0900 EDT on August 28. If conditions become unrepresentative...contact the National Weather Service. .DISCUSSION... Quiet weather is expected at the burn site today. The main challenge will probably be the winds which will be light and variable through the morning and early afternoon. More consistent but still light southwest winds are expected after 2 PM. The winds will die down quickly this evening and no fog is anticipated overnight. Mixing heights will be good today, but smoke dispersal will be limited by the light winds. For the back up burn day next Tuesday our forecast favors dry weather, all though some wetting rainfall is possible over the weekend or on Monday. Minimum relative humidity values should be near 50 percent and mixing heights will be modest. Winds should be from the northeast at 2 to 8 mph. Smoke dispersion should be good. .TODAY...
