.DISCUSSION...
Tuesday will bring mostly cloudy skies and warm temperatures
ahead of an incoming front on Wednesday. Rainfall is expected to
hold off until Wednesday, especially by Wednesday afternoon and
evening. Despite the dry conditions Tuesday, moisture will be
increasing, and minimum RH values will only drop into the low-to-
mid 60 percent range. Near-surface winds will remain easterly at
5-8 mph with occasional gusts up to 15 mph. Transport winds will
be east at 10 to 16 mph. Expect mostly cloudy to overcast lower
morning ceilings, gradually lifting somewhat through the
afternoon. Mixing heights are forecast to peak around 3100 ft.
Fog is not expected to be a significant concern given increased
wind and cloud cover.
As mentioned above, rain showers and a few storms will increase
through the day on Wednesday, particularly by afternoon and
evening. Current forecast rainfall totals from Wednesday into
Thursday are in the half-inch to three-quarter inch range for the
potential burn area.
