.DISCUSSION...

Today will be another hot and humid day with temperatures soaring into
the upper 90s by this afternoon with heat index values as high as
100-105 degrees. A Heat Advisory is in effect through 8 PM today.
Isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms may develop during
the late afternoon (after 4PM) and evening hours. Any storms
could be strong to severe with damaging wind gusts, large hail,
frequent lightning, and heavy rain. The thunderstorm threat may
linger well into the overnight hours.

Hot and humid conditions continue on Thursday, though slightly
cooler, with highs in the mid 90s and heat index values
around 100. Chances for showers and strong to severe
thunderstorms will be a bit higher than today, and start to
develop after 2PM.
