...A strong thunderstorm will impact portions of Oconee, northwestern
Morgan, southeastern Clarke, northeastern Walton, northwestern Greene
and west central Oglethorpe Counties through 530 PM EDT...

At 502 PM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was over Good Hope, or 8 miles
east of Monroe, moving east at 25 mph.

HAZARD...40 to 50 mph wind, pea sized hail and frequent cloud to
         ground lightning.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Expect minor damage to tree limbs and blowing around of
         light, unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Watkinsville, North High Shoals, Bostwick, Good Hope, Bishop,
Whitehall, Athens-Clarke County, Ebenezer, Wrayswood, Eastville,
Barnett Shoals, State Botanical Garden Of Ga, Farmington, and
Apalachee.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

People outdoors should seek shelter immediately. If you can hear
thunder, you are close enough to be struck by lightning.
