.DISCUSSION...
Low pressure tracking northeast into southern Canada will continue
to bring windy conditions to the region, with southeast winds
gusting to 40 mph at times through the remainder of the afternoon. A
cold front moves west to east across the region late this evening
into the overnight hours, sharply shifting winds west to northwest.
Gusts 30-50 mph are expected, with the highest west of the Red
River Valley, particularly the Devils Lake Basin. Winds gradually
decrease Tuesday, though they should remain breezy into the
afternoon before becoming light during the evening.
Several larger areas of rain continue to progress east this
afternoon, with scattered showers lingering on the back side of the
main area of rain ending west to east late afternoon and evening.
Minimum RH values should generally remain above 50% through the next
7 days. There are additional chances for showers or thunderstorms
Wednesday and later this week and next weekend. Details remain more
variable at this time regarding wetting rain or thunderstorm
coverage.
