.DISCUSSION...

Mild temperatures and light northerly winds generally around 5
mph are expected in the area of the prescribed burn. Due to the
light nature of the winds there could be subtle variations in
direction based on local terrain (northwest to north to northeast
variations locally). There may also be a few gusts to 15 mph
during the afternoon period, though they would be brief and
localized. RH values during the afternoon should drop below 35%,
with a lower chance for values to drop below 30%. Winds shift to
the south-southeast and increase Saturday with sustained winds
more likely to remain above 20 mph, with gusts around 35 mph. Rain
chances increase late Saturday night in southeast ND.
