waves that occur in a given period. Since the significant wave
height is an average of the largest waves, mariners should be
aware that many individual waves will be higher.

For Devils Lake...

.TODAY...Breezy. North winds 15 to 25 mph decreasing to 10 to
15 mph in the afternoon. Waves 1 to 2 feet subsiding to 1 foot or
less in the afternoon. Rain likely early in the morning. Snow
likely until afternoon. Mostly cloudy. Highs 25 to 35.
.TONIGHT...East winds 10 to 20 mph. Waves 1 foot or less. Chance
of snow in the late evening and overnight. Cloudy. Lows in the
lower 20s.
.SATURDAY...North winds 10 to 20 mph. Waves 1 foot or less
building to 1 to 2 feet in the afternoon. Mostly cloudy. Highs in
the 20s.


For the Upper and Lower Red Lakes...

.TODAY...North winds 10 to 20 mph. Waves 1 foot or less building
to 1 to 2 feet in the morning, then subsiding to 1 foot or less
in the afternoon. Slight chance of rain and snow through the day.
Mostly cloudy. Highs in the 30s.
.TONIGHT...North winds around 10 mph early in the evening
becoming light. Waves 1 foot or less. Partly cloudy in the
evening then becoming mostly cloudy. Lows in the mid 20s.
.SATURDAY...North winds 10 to 20 mph. Waves 1 foot or less
building to 1 to 2 feet in the afternoon. Partly sunny. Highs
25 to 35.


For Lake of the Woods...

.TODAY...Windy. North winds 20 to 30 mph decreasing to 10 to
20 mph in the afternoon. Waves 2 to 4 feet. Slight chance of rain
and snow early in the morning. Cloudy early in the morning then
clearing. Highs in the 30s.
.TONIGHT...North winds 10 to 15 mph. Waves 1 foot or less. Partly
cloudy in the evening then becoming mostly cloudy. Lows in the
mid 20s.
.SATURDAY...Windy. North winds 10 to 20 mph increasing to
northwest 20 to 30 mph late in the afternoon. Waves 2 to 4 feet.
Partly sunny. Highs in the 20s.
