.SYNOPSIS...Mild temperatures, dry conditions and occasional
afternoon breezes are expected into the weekend. Despite the dry
forecast, serious flooding continues in spots. Stay away from
waterways and if you come to a flooded road, turn around, don`t
drown.

.DISCUSSION...Following the historic rainfall over the weekend,
a much drier airmass will remain dominant over northern Arizona
through the week. Even so, use caution when driving as many low
water crossings will still be flooded or otherwise inundated with
water. Flooding impacts may linger for a few more days.

A brief ridge will move overhead today, bringing light winds and
slightly warmer afternoon temperatures. Daytime highs will still
fall a few degrees below early November normals for most. Some
patchy fog will also be possible through the early morning hours
today.

A quick moving and dry trough will brush to the north of our area
on Wednesday. The primary impact will be some slightly breezier
westerly winds gusting up to 25 mph along the higher terrain,
perhaps as high as 35 mph along/north of the White Mountains.

Lighter winds are expected by Thursday into the weekend, however
conditions will become ideal for breezy and localized northeast
winds to develop downwind of terrain features each night. Another
passing shortwave on Friday may bring a slight chance of light
showers to the White Mountains, then continued dry conditions are
expected into the weekend.

.AVIATION...Tuesday 03/18Z through Wednesday 04/18Z...VFR conditions.
Winds light and variable at 5-10 kts through 06Z. After 06Z, winds
strengthen to south at 10-20 kts just downwind of terrain features
along/north of a KGCN-KFLG-KSOW line.


OUTLOOK...Wednesday 04/18Z through Friday 06/18Z...VFR conditions.
West winds at 10-20 kts are forecast for Wednesday, with gusts up
to 30 kts along/south of a KSOW-KSJN line. On Thursday winds are
expect shift to north to northeast 5-10 kts on Thursday.

.FIRE WEATHER...Tuesday and Wednesday..Dry conditions with
seasonably cool temperatures. Light and variable winds 5-10 mph on
Tuesday. Winds are west to northwest at 5-15 mph on Wednesday, with
gusts as high as 25-35 mph along the Mogollon Rim and White
Mountains. Minimum RH generally above 40%.

Thursday through Saturday...Mostly dry conditions with seasonable
temperatures continue. Slight chance of light showers over the White
Mountains on Friday. Winds are light and variable on Thursday, then
north to northeast at at 5-15 mph on Friday and Saturday. Local
gusts to 25 mph along and south of the Mogollon Rim, especially
Saturday morning.
