Area Forecast Discussion
National Weather Service Flagstaff AZ
114 PM MST Mon Dec 8 2025

.SYNOPSIS...Dry conditions with warming temperatures are forecast
through early next week.

&&

.DISCUSSION...Same story different day. Arizona remain under
a dry northwest to north flow aloft through at least early next
week. High pressure located off southern California coast, will
gradually approach Arizona over the coming days becoming
established over California by Friday or Saturday. As a result, high
temperatures are forecast to climb 10 to 20 degrees above the
long term average by Thursday and Friday. Temperatures will cool
some over the weekend into early next week as high pressure
weakens but this will result in no important change to the current
dry pattern. Otherwise, daytime breezes will be light from a
northwesterly to northerly direction with a few periods of high
clouds as weak passing disturbances brush Arizona. Dry conditions
and mainly clear skies will continue to result in strong nighttime
radiational cooling which will result in local drainage breezes
of 10 to 20 mph south of the Mogollon Rim.

No significant change in the current pattern is anticipated through
the middle of next week.
