...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 445 PM MST /545 PM
MDT/ THIS AFTERNOON FOR COCONINO COUNTY...

At 237 PM MST /337 PM MDT/, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms
produced heavy rain east of Page. Between 0.25 and 1.0 inches of
rain have fallen. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly within the numerous slot canyons across the area.

HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing
         flash flooding.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams,
         normally dry washes, urban areas, highways, streets and
         underpasses.

Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  NMS Beach, Glen Canyon National Recreation Area and Lake Powell.

This includes the following slot canyons...
Butterfly Canyon, Labyrinth Canyon, Face Canyon, West Canyon, Sand
Canyon and Butterfly Canyon.

This includes the following creeks, washes and rivers...
  West Canyon Creek, Last Chance Creek, Navajo Creek, Antelope
  Creek, Sand Wash and Kaibito Creek.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Flooding of washes and creeks will occur, some dirt roads will
become muddy and impassable. Paved roads and underpasses could
become flooded as well.

Get out of washes, creeks and slot canyon if you are camping or
hiking! Flooding is occurring or imminent and will inundate creeks,
slot canyons and washes.
