...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 345 AM MST EARLY THIS
MORNING FOR GILA COUNTY...

At 207 AM MST, Doppler radar indicated that they heavy rainfall has
ended over Tonto Creek. Flooding however remains a threat from
earlier rainfall, between 1.5 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen,
but no additional rainfall is expected. Flash flooding is ongoing or
expected to begin shortly.

HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing
         flash flooding.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams,
         low-water crossings, and normally dry washes.

Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Jakes Corner, Rye, Oak Spring Canyon and Deer Creek.

This includes the following highways...
State Route 188 between mile markers 272 and 276.
State Route 87 between mile markers 233 and 239.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Low water crossings will become dangerous in heavy rain. Do not
attempt to cross flooded roads. Find an alternate route.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
