...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 515 PM MST THIS AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Oak Creek in Oak Creek Canyon to Cornville.

* Until 515 PM MST.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in creeks and normally dry washes is
  imminent or occurring.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 1116 AM MST, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges
    indicated heavy rain. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected
    to begin shortly in the advisory area.
  - This includes the following creeks, Oak Creek.
  -
    - For Oak Creek at Oak Creek at Sedona:
    At 10:45am the stage was 5.37 feet.
    Flood Stage is 14.0 feet.
    Impacts:
    At 5.0 feet: Multiple private low water crossings and bridges
    over Oak Creek above Sedona become impassable.
  - This includes the following highways...
    State Route 179 between mile markers 311 and 313.
    State Route 89A between mile markers 374 and 384.

    This includes the following recreation areas and
    campgrounds...
    Manzanita Campground and Windmill Park.

    This includes the following swimming holes...
    Slide Rock, Encinoso, Grasshopper Point, Midgely Bridge,
    Buddha Beach "Red Rock Crossing", Crescent Moon Ranch and
    Mormons Crossing.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.

Low water crossings will become dangerous in heavy rain. Do not
attempt to cross flooded roads. Find an alternate route.
