...FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT UNTIL 11PM TUESDAY...

.DISCUSSION...

Showers and isolated thunderstorms from overnight will gradually
trend toward the east, while additional wrap around moisture keeps
activity going for the afternoon and evening hours. Overall, the
greatest risk of heavy rainfall impacts stay to the south and
east of the Grand Canyon. However, there is a slight risk for
flash flooding through the evening given the widespread rain
expected and the potential for a thunderstorm to bring heavy
rainfall rates over saturated soils. Other hazards besides the
rain and risk of flash flooding include frequent lightning, strong
winds and hail with any stronger thunderstorm. Winds will
otherwise be mostly light By Wednesday morning, things will start
to dry back out and the pattern remains dry and relatively warm
for the rest of the week.
