.DISCUSSION...

Expect dry conditions to continue through at least midday Sunday
as cloud cover increases and gustier southwest breezes filter in
by the afternoon. Slight chances for showers arrive by Sunday
evening and increase overnight, with widespread showers and
scattered thunderstorms expected on Monday. This will be the
result of tropical moisture interacting with a Pacific storm
system, prompting a Flood Watch to be in effect Sunday night
through Tuesday night. Rain amounts and potential flood impacts
to canyon will depend on how much moisture is directed into the
area and whether heavier rainfall rates associated with a
thunderstorm pass over.
