...AREAS OF BLACK ICE POSSIBLE ABOVE 6500 FEET UNTIL 9 PM MST...

At 629 PM MST, temperatures are now falling to near or below
freezing across the higher terrain. With earlier rain and snow
showers, icy conditions will be possible this evening over the
higher terrain.

Locations impacted include...
  Flagstaff, Show Low, Forest Lakes, Williams, Lakeview, Starlight
  Pines, Mormon Lake, Clints Well, and Stoneman Lake

This includes the following highways...
Interstate 40 between mile markers 157 and 207.
Interstate 17 between mile markers 314 and 339.
U.S. Highway 89 between mile markers 419 and 436.
Highway 180 between mile markers 217 and 255.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A drop in temperatures will lead to the rapid formation of black ice
on area roadways. Black ice is nearly impossible to see and roadways
may appear wet. Please use extreme caution, especially on bridges,
overpasses and around curves. Allow plenty of stopping distance and
avoid braking suddenly.
