...The National Weather Service in Sioux Falls SD has issued a Flood
Warning for the following rivers in Minnesota...

  West Fork Des Moines River near Avoca affecting Murray and
  Cottonwood Counties.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

...FLOOD WARNING IN EFFECT FROM FRIDAY AFTERNOON UNTIL FURTHER
NOTICE...

* WHAT...Moderate to Major flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...West Fork Des Moines River near Avoca.

* WHEN...From Friday afternoon until further notice.

* IMPACTS...At 1428.0 feet, County Road 6 and County Road 44 begin
  to flood, and there is widespread significant flooding of crop and
  pasture land.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 1:30 PM CDT Thursday the stage was 1424.4 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
    tomorrow afternoon and continue rising to a crest around
    1428.5 feet early Monday morning. This forecast will be
    heavily impacted by how much rain eventually falls.
  - Flood stage is 1425.0 feet.
