.DISCUSSION...

A warm and breezy day is ahead with highs peaking mainly in the
70s to low 80s across the area. Breezy to strong winds will
develop from the late morning onwards with gust between 35-45 mph
expected with pockets of up to 50 mph possible. Shower and
thunderstorm chances will also return this afternoon and evening
with the focus being west of the James River. Between all of this,
fire danger is still expected to be low given the higher dew
points and greener fuels.

Looking ahead, quieter conditions return over the weekend. While a
spotty shower or two can`t be completely ruled out on Friday and
Saturday, below normal temperatures will persist at least through
Monday. Either way, any fire weather concerns should be kept to
minimum well into the new week.
