.DISCUSSION...

Warm and breezy this afternoon with highs expected to reach the
lower 60s, and southerly gusts 20-25 mph. Winds gradually diminish
this evening and become light and variable overnight. Minimum
relative humidity is expected to 50% or higher.

Tonight, showers and thunderstorms are expected to form roughly
along I-29 and move east. Some stronger showers may produce penny
sized hail and wind gusts of 50 mph. Scattered to numerous showers
are expected to continue through the day Friday. Friday late
morning to early afternoon a cold front is expected to move
through the region, turning winds northerly and gusting to 25-30
mph. Temperatures are expected to fall rapidly behind the front.
Rain showers are expected to change to a wintry mix and then all
snow by early Saturday morning.
