This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of northwest Iowa,
west central Iowa, southwest Minnesota, northeast Nebraska,
central South Dakota, east central South Dakota, south central
South Dakota, and southeast South Dakota.

.DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight

Canadian wildfire smoke will remain in the area through Thursday
morning. While the highest concentrations should stay aloft,
minor reductions to surface air quality and visibility will be
possible. If you are a part of a sensitive group, make sure to
monitor your local air quality.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday

Showers and thunderstorms are expected late Thursday afternoon
into the evening, with the better chances north of I-90 and
especially into southwest Minnesota. The main threats with any
storms will be wind gusts to 50 to 60 mph.

Spotter activation is not expected at this time.
