This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for northwest Iowa, west central
Iowa, southwest Minnesota, northeast Nebraska, central South
Dakota, east central South Dakota, south central South Dakota and
southeast South Dakota.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.

Strong south winds gusting as high as 35 to 45 MPH, combined with
unseasonably warm temperatures and dry conditions, will result in
elevated fire danger this afternoon. Use extreme caution to avoid
sparking a fire, especially in drier grasses or fields where fall
harvest activities are underway, as rapid fire spread is likely.

Scattered showers or a few thunderstorms are possible mainly west of
Interstate 29 tonight. The risk of severe weather is low, but any
showers or storms could locally enhance already gusty winds which
will persist into tonight.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday.

No hazardous weather is expected at this time.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation is not expected at this time.
