Periods of rain continue through mid week with widespread rainfall totals half an inch to an inch, higher near and north of a Gregory to Mitchell to Marshall line. Rain tapers off Wednesday night. Strong wind gusts 30 to 40 mph prevail through Tuesday evening, although there may be a lull or two in the strongest gusts. Wind gusts around 45 mph for south central SD and stronger winds possible with stronger showers. Recent and expected rainfall along keeps minimum humidity values well above 50% through late week. Cooler conditions return mid to late week.
