201 FNUS63 KFSD 182139 RFDFSD Rangeland Fire Danger Statement National Weather Service Sioux Falls SD 339 PM CST Tue Nov 18 2025 .DISCUSSION... Dry conditions are expected for the remainder of this afternoon. Light northerly winds will become southerly overnight as surface high pressure slides east. Fair mixing through the day will allow us to tap into slightly higher winds aloft. These will mix down and result in gusts of 20-25 mph for areas along and west of I-29 in the late morning to mid-afternoon Wednesday. Winds decrease quickly in the evening becoming light again overnight. Highs for Wednesday will be warm, in the 50s with some 60s over central South Dakota. Despite this, fire danger Wednesday afternoon will be limited thanks to recent precipitation and relative humidity values greater than 50% across the region. Light winds continue through the rest of the week with higher relative humidity values and seasonably warm highs in the 40s and 50s.
