Northwesterly winds will continue to decrease from west to east this afternoon and evening, eventually becoming light. Winds for Thursday are expected to be light out of the northwest. Confidence is increasing in a potentially impactful winter storm moving through the area Friday through Saturday. Accumulating snow is expected, with totals increasing from central South Dakota as you move east into western Iowa and Minnesota. However, confidence in totals at this time are low. Cold temperatures are expected for the rest of today and continuing into next week.
