.DISCUSSION...

Northwesterly winds will continue to decrease from west to east
this afternoon and evening, eventually becoming light. Winds for
Thursday are expected to be light out of the northwest. Confidence
is increasing in a potentially impactful winter storm moving
through the area Friday through Saturday. Accumulating snow is
expected, with totals increasing from central South Dakota as you
move east into western Iowa and Minnesota. However, confidence in
totals at this time are low.

Cold temperatures are expected for the rest of today and
continuing into next week.
