Another hot day is ahead with highs peaking in the mid 80s to upper 90s. Similar to the last few days, elevated dew points will keep RH values out of critical thresholds. This combined with greener fuels will keep our fire danger low for a while. We`ll also have the return of scattered showers this morning and potentially some showers and thunderstorms this evening. Marginal weather conditions or lowering moisture content of grasses, and other dry organic material on the ground, indicate that there is some potential for a fire to spread. Any outdoor burning should be closely monitored. OUTLOOK FOR MONDAY AFTERNOON...The Grassland Fire Danger Index will reach the moderate category. The grassland fire danger product reflects fire danger for native grasses.
