821 FNUS63 KFSD 181043 RFDFSD Rangeland Fire Danger Statement National Weather Service Sioux Falls SD 443 AM CST Tue Nov 18 2025 .DISCUSSION... Areas of rain and/or snow will gradually end west to east this morning, with quiet weather expected the remainder of the week. We could see breezier south winds on Wednesday, especially west of I-29 as temperatures warm into the 50s to lower 60s. However, rainfall over the past 24 hours (0.50" to 1.00" in many areas), along with minimum humidity levels of only 40-60% Wednesday afternoon will limit fire danger. Winds will remain on the lighter side through the upcoming weekend with seasonably mild temperatures for mid-late November. The Grassland Fire Danger Index will reach the low category this afternoon. Favorable weather conditions or a high moisture content of grasses, and other dry organic material on the ground, indicate that the probability of a fast moving fire is low. Outdoor burning under these conditions can usually be with reasonable safety precautions, but should be monitored. OUTLOOK FOR WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON...The Grassland Fire Danger Index will reach the moderate category. The grassland fire danger product reflects fire danger for native grasses. It is not intended for cured agricultural crops, nor will it reflect conditions in road ditches which have been mowed. $$ IAZ001>003-012>014-020>022-031-032-MNZ071-072-080-081-089-090-097- 098-SDZ038>040-054>056-062-067-181345- Lyon-Osceola-Dickinson-Sioux-O`Brien-Clay-Plymouth-Cherokee- Buena Vista-Woodbury-Ida-Lincoln-Murray-Cottonwood-Nobles-Jackson- Pipestone-Rock-Beadle-Kingsbury-Brookings-Miner-Lake-Moody- Minnehaha- ...LOW FIRE DANGER...
