Dreary conditions are ahead as scattered showers develop this morning. Should see things clear out by early afternoon as high peak in the upper 60s to low 70s. High dew points and lighter surface winds for the day will keep any fire-related concerns to a minimum. Looking ahead, additional shower and thunderstorm chances are expected for most of the day on Monday. With conditions likely similar to today, any fire danger will continue to be low. Marginal weather conditions or lowering moisture content of grasses, and other dry organic material on the ground, indicate that there is some potential for a fire to spread. Any outdoor burning should be closely monitored. OUTLOOK FOR MONDAY AFTERNOON...The Grassland Fire Danger Index will reach the moderate category. The grassland fire danger product reflects fire danger for native grasses.
