Isolated showers and storms are possible later today through tonight. Otherwise, winds increase with gusts around 25 mph behind a cold front, with direction shifting today. Winds become light and variable again tonight. Additional isolated storms are possible south of I-90 Friday afternoon/evening. Rain chances return for the second half of the weekend. Warmer than average conditions through the end of the week and cooler for the weekend. RH values above 35-40% along with recent rain and cooler temperatures limit widespread fire concerns despite occasionally breezy conditions. Marginal weather conditions or lowering moisture content of grasses, and other dry organic material on the ground, indicate that there is some potential for a fire to spread. The grassland fire danger product reflects fire danger for native grasses.
