Rangeland Fire Danger Statement
National Weather Service Sioux Falls SD

.DISCUSSION...

Breezy southerly winds will continue this evening, leading to
slightly elevated fire danger over areas of Southwest Minnesota
and northern Iowa. Temperatures continue to rise through the end
of the week, with highs back near the 90s Thursday, Friday, and
Saturday. Fire weather concerns begin to really increase
throughout the region Friday afternoon with the return of a breezy
southwesterly wind. However by Saturday widespread elevated fire
danger is expected as temperatures climb into the 90s, relative
humidity falls into the lower 30s and a 30 to 40 mph southwesterly
wind develops.

A strong front moves through by Sunday however rain chances
continue to diminish with this front. Gusty northwest winds are
likely Sunday afternoon.
