469 FNUS63 KFSD 012039 RFDFSD Rangeland Fire Danger Statement National Weather Service Sioux Falls SD 339 PM CDT Wed Oct 1 2025 .DISCUSSION... Breezy southerly winds will continue this evening, leading to slightly elevated fire danger over areas of Southwest Minnesota and northern Iowa. Temperatures continue to rise through the end of the week, with highs back near the 90s Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Fire weather concerns begin to really increase throughout the region Friday afternoon with the return of a breezy southwesterly wind. However by Saturday widespread elevated fire danger is expected as temperatures climb into the 90s, relative humidity falls into the lower 30s and a 30 to 40 mph southwesterly wind develops. A strong front moves through by Sunday however rain chances continue to diminish with this front. Gusty northwest winds are likely Sunday afternoon.
