376 FNUS63 KFSD 080905 RFDFSD Rangeland Fire Danger Statement National Weather Service Sioux Falls SD 405 AM CDT Wed Oct 8 2025 .DISCUSSION... After a cold start to the morning, temperatures will warm to the upper 60s and 70s while dew points fall to the upper 30s to low 40s. This will result in humidity values between 30-35% across the entire area. Southerly winds will strengthen today as well with gusts as high as 20-40 mph. The strongest winds will occur across south central South Dakota. This is the same area where high fire danger resides. The high fire danger will come to an end as temperatures cool this evening. Thursday will be another warm day as high temperatures further warm to the 70s across the area. Southerly winds will persist but will be a bit weaker than on Wednesday with gusts only reaching up to 25-35 mph. Humidity values will also be higher at 35-50%.
