Besides a little fog this morning, another warm day is expected with highs mainly in the 80s to low 90s. Elevated dew points will lead to elevated relative humidity values as well. While breezier conditions are expected this afternoon, any fire-related concerns should continue to on the lower side. Otherwise, isolated showers and thunderstorms should return late tonight into Friday morning mainly along and east of I-29. Marginal weather conditions or lowering moisture content of grasses, and other dry organic material on the ground, indicate that there is some potential for a fire to spread. Any outdoor burning should be closely monitored. OUTLOOK FOR FRIDAY AFTERNOON...The Grassland Fire Danger Index will reach the low category. The grassland fire danger product reflects fire danger for native grasses.
