Hot temperatures well into the 100s, low afternoon RH in the 15-30
percent range, and dry fuels will continue to bring an elevated
risk of fire starts through the week. Some improvement is expected
from Wednesday into the weekend as low rain chances return
areawide and temperatures drop into the upper 90s to low 100s,
although most areas will remain hot and dry. Drought conditions
are likely to worsen with no substantial rainfall anticipated
through the rest of August into the first of September.
