.DISCUSSION...
Fire weather concerns will remain low across all of North and
Central Texas the rest of this week through the weekend. Min RH
values will generally be above 50% with surface winds remaining in
the 5-15 mph range. Wind will become very light (5mph or less) and
N/NE generally between midnight tonight into Friday morning.
Otherwise expect S/SE winds to prevail through the weekend.
Scattered rain showers across the region will bring widespread
wetting rain to areas west of the I-35 corridor. More sparse
coverage is expected east of I-35 into the weekend. Saturday will
see scattered rain showers dissipate from west to east throughout
the day with dry conditions returning by Sunday. Thunderstorms
chances remain very low (<5%) through the weekend.
A strong storm system will bring impacts to the region early next
week with both thunderstorm chances and gusty winds. More details
on this will be provided in the coming days as forecast
confidence increases, but the latest AFD can be read for more
details.
