.DISCUSSION...
Hot and dry conditions will continue this afternoon, though the
fire weather threat appears lower than previously anticipated.
Minimum relative humidity will generally fall into the 30-40%
range with east to southeast winds below 10 mph. These
relatively light winds should limit the overall threat, though
above-normal temperatures and increasingly dry fuels may still
support locally elevated initial attack potential during peak
heating.
Hot conditions will persist through the weekend with only low
rain chances, mainly across portions of North Texas. Widespread
wetting rainfall is not expected through the weekend. A more
substantial pattern change remains on track for next week, with
increasing moisture and widespread rain chances expected by the
middle of the week.
