.DISCUSSION...
The fire threat will remain elevated this afternoon, mainly along
and west of US-281 where humidity is forecast to fall between
20-25%. Thankfully, lighter wind speeds should preclude
significant resistance to control of any fire starts. Slightly
better moisture should move into our forecast area tonight and
help improve the fire threat tomorrow. However, humidity will
trend down as we close out the work week, likely resulting in an
elevated fire threat Friday and Saturday. Saturday appears to be
most concerning since the winds should be a little stronger and
gusty. Increased rain chances and slightly lower temperatures
return to the area early next week.
