.DISCUSSION...
Very hot temperatures with low humidity will continue through the
rest of this week. High temperatures will reach or exceed 100
degrees each afternoon while RH values fall into the 20-30% range.
This low humidity in conjunction with dry fuels will continue to
aid in ignition of some initial attack wildfire activity, but
modest southerly wind speeds around 10 mph or less will tend to
limit rapid spread of grass fires, and will prevent the fire
threat from reaching elevated levels. Despite some low storm
chances in northeast Texas on Thursday afternoon, most areas will
remain rain-free for the next 7-10 days.
