.DISCUSSION...
The fire threat will remain elevated mainly for areas out west
due to lower humidity, hot temperatures, and continued mostly dry
conditions. Low isolated to scattered rain chances are anticipated
each day in portions of the region through mid-late week, though
most will likely remain dry. The greatest chances and coverage
(20-30%) will be on Thursday in portions of North Texas and the
Big Country. An uptick in wind speeds and gusts is anticipated
this weekend, which may heighten the concern for fire starts
particularly in our northwestern counties where humidity is lowest
and temperatures are generally the warmest.
