.DISCUSSION...
Light east-northeast winds will continue over the next few days
as a weak surface boundary remains across the region. A few
showers/storms are expected to develop this afternoon and again
tomorrow afternoon mainly across Central Texas where the boundary
will reside. Minimum RH values will remain above 30% through at
least Wednesday. Lower humidity will arrive over the second half
of the week, and this may cause a return to elevated fire weather
conditions despite fairly light wind speeds of 10 mph or less. At
a minimum, an uptick in initial attack wildfire activity will
likely occur late in the workweek into the weekend as drought-
stricken fuels and low humidity support wildfire ignition. Low
rain chances return Sunday into next week as a more active weather
pattern takes shape.
