.DISCUSSION...
The combination of mild temperatures, light winds and ample
moisture in place will keep the fire weather concerns low through
the weekend. The next storm system is expected to arrive Monday
night into Tuesday and will bring widespread showers and storms
across much of the region. While there`s a risk for a few strong
to severe storms with damaging winds mainly across the
northwestern counties Monday night, widespread severe weather is
not expected. Most of the activity will exit our eastern/southern
counties early Tuesday afternoon with cooler and drier air behind
the front. Northwesterly winds around 15-20 mph gusting to 25 mph
will prevail Tuesday afternoon but will diminish by Tuesday
night. No other impacts are expected the rest of the week.
