.DISCUSSION...
Fire threats will remain slightly elevated across portions of
Central and especially North Texas due to the ongoing hot
temperatures, recent dry conditions, low afternoon RH values in
the 25-35 percent range, and occasionally gusty south winds.
Isolated showers and storms are possible each afternoon across
East Texas and eastern Central Texas, but coverage most locations
will stay dry. Drought conditions are increasing across North
Texas with no substantial rainfall for the foreseeable future, so
wildfire threats will likely increase as we move further into the
month of August.
