Very hot temperatures with low humidity will continue for the
next several days, but modest southerly wind speeds will prevent
the fire weather threat from reaching elevated levels. Isolated
thunderstorm activity is possible across portions of the area
today and again on Friday afternoon and evening, and lightning
strikes from any such activity could ignite new grass fires in the
presence of low humidity and very dry fuels. Most areas will
remain rain-free for the next 7-10 days.
