...FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT THROUGH FRIDAY MORNING...

.DISCUSSION...

Fire weather threat will be low this afternoon. This is due to
widespread cloud cover, humidity in the 50-60% range, and
scattered showers and thunderstorms expected (40-60% coverage) through
the evening and overnight. Currently there are thunderstorms in
Hill County that are moving northeast. These storms will bring a
lightning risk to the spot forecast area between 3:15 PM and 4:45
PM. Gusty and erratic winds of 20-30 mph will be possible with
these storms as well. Sometime after 4 AM, a line of strong
thunderstorms is expected to move through the region bringing
gusty winds, heavy rain and lightning. Scattered rain showers and
thunderstorms are expected to continue through Thursday morning
before clearing sometime Thursday afternoon. Winds outside of any
thunderstorms will generally be out of the south at 10-20 mph.
Humidity will remain high (80-100%) tonight through Thursday.
