KEY MESSAGES:

- Winter Storm Warnings and Advisories remain in effect through 5
  AM this morning.

- Arctic air moves in for the weekend with lows tonight night well
  below zero.

WEATHER PATTERN OVERVIEW:

Saturday and Sunday: Highs on Saturday will be in the single
digits to lower teens for most areas The coldest temperatures of
the season so far will be over most of the area by Sunday
morning. The current forecast has lows in the 10s below with
apparent temperatures in the 20s below near the Canadian border.
Even with the current snowcover, increasing cloud cover may
inhibit decreasing lows.

Monday and beyond: The next chance for precipitation is looking to
be Tuesday as a low drops south and east through Idaho into
Wyoming. There`s currently looking to be 20-40% chance for 0.1"
snow with this system. Another upper trough crossing the Northern
Rockies by Friday has the potential to drop some widespread mixed
precipitation. Tough to tell at this time. The ECMWF and Canadian
model are bringing a cutoff low off the coast of California and
hinting at some weak riding over Montana into Friday. There`s
still pretty low model agreement on this low pressure system.

FORECAST CONFIDENCE & DEVIATIONS:

Blended NBM90 and a blend of HiRes models for winds day 1-2.
Increased the first 12 hours PoPs using CMCnh. No changes from NBM
otherwise.

.AVIATION...
The winter storm will move out of the area this morning. MVFR to
IFR ceilings are expected to persist. Extreme cold will begin
impacting TAF sites by early evening tomorrow. Winds will continue
to decrease, light and variable in the afternoon.

Central and Southeast Phillips-Central and Southern Valley-
Dawson-Garfield-McCone-Northern Phillips-Petroleum-Richland-

Winter Weather Advisory until 11 AM MST this morning for Daniels-
Eastern Roosevelt-Northern Valley-Prairie-Sheridan-Western
Roosevelt-Wibaux.
