- Near to slightly below normal temperatures are expected through
  the upcoming week.

- Occasional chances for showers can be expected in the late
  afternoon to overnight hours through Tuesday night. Dry
  conditions are currently expected Wednesday and beyond.

.DISCUSSION...

WEATHER PATTERN OVERVIEW:
The western upper ridge will remain fairly flat with a WNW flow
aloft through midweek with a series of weak shortwaves pushing
along the international border. This will keep temperatures
slightly below normal. One wave passes through this morning with
isolated showers mainly south of Fort Peck Lake. Another wave
moves through this afternoon and evening with scattered showers
and thunderstorms. Additions waves are expected for Monday night
and again Tuesday afternoon and night.

Upper ridge builds into the area for Wednesday, Thursday and
Friday with a return to warmer and drier conditions for the end of
the week.

FORECAST CONFIDENCE & DEVIATIONS:

Main deviations to the NBM were to spread pops across a larger
area for Sunday night through Monday night. Confidence is moderate
in timing the various waves the next few days.

FLIGHT CAT RANGE: VFR.

DISCUSSION: There will be varying amounts of mid and high clouds
today and tonight. Daytime cumulus will develop by late morning
and increase during the afternoon. Scattered showers and
thunderstorms are expected this afternoon and evening across the
region with brief periods of MVFR conditions.
WIND: Light and variable winds this morning will become south 5
to 10 knots this afternoon and light and variable tonight.
