Synoptic Setup: A weak cold front passing through the area will cause isolated showers into Saturday morning along with a wind shift to the northwest. Otherwise, an upper-level high pressure system is developing over the Four Corners region, allowing for anomalously strong ridging to build over the west and move eastward into the region by Monday morning. Seasonably average temperatures and dry conditions are expected this weekend before climbing to well above average on Monday. Highs in the afternoon are expected to be in the upper 70s to low 80s, with some places possibly climbing slightly higher. Beyond Monday, a weak cold front will move through Northeast Montana Tuesday morning. This should bring temperatures down slightly for the remainder of the week but will overall stay warmer and drier than normal for this time of year.
