.DISCUSSION...

KEY MESSAGES:

- An overall ridging pattern will keep temperatures well above
  normal through Friday.

- Temperatures cool over the weekend to slightly above normal
  with dry weather.

- Rain and snow possible Monday and Tuesday next week.

WEATHER PATTERN OVERVIEW:

Upper ridge over the area will help keep mild and dry conditions
around tonight. Prefrontal warming can be expected into Friday.
The record low high for Glasgow Friday is 42 degrees, set in 1941.

Hires models are pointing towards having SW winds tonight that
have a high probability (70-80%) of reaching Lake Wind Advisory
criteria of 20 mph sustained. Then a cold front moves in Friday
with another round of gusty winds during the afternoon. A Lake
Wind Advisory is in effect for Fort Peck Lake tonight through
Friday.

The front appears to be late enough on Friday that another warm
day is expected. There is enough moisture for a chance of light
rain in some areas Friday afternoon and evening with an upper
trough that moves through the area. Then the ridge rebounds for
the weekend with dry weather. Temperatures will be not as warm but
they will still be above normal for mid November.

An upper level trough will move into the west coast on Friday.
Models move this trough inland over the weekend. It looks like it
will be Sunday night that this trough reaches northeast Montana
with any precipitation chances.

FORECAST CONFIDENCE & DEVIATIONS:

Made deviations to winds and wind gusts tonight and Friday to
increase wind speeds. Also increased pops for Friday, blending
with ConsShort and SREF. TFJ
