.DISCUSSION...
KEY MESSAGES:

- A reinforcing cold front will allow gusty northwest winds to
continue into tomorrow and a chance of rain to move through
  tonight.

- A Lake Wind Advisory has been extended through 6 PM tomorrow.

- Another cold front with a brief opportunity for rain is expected
  on Sunday into Sunday night.

WEATHER PATTERN OVERVIEW:
A strong pressure gradient at 500 millibars will keep the pattern
changing rather frequently through the middle of next week. A
reinforcing surface cold front tonight will keep the northwest
winds rolling through tomorrow evening before decreasing below
Lake Wind Advisory criteria for Fort Peck Lake tomorrow night. A
brief ridge on Sunday will give way to another shortwave trough
and surface cold front on Sunday evening into Sunday night.

Through the end of the next week, high pressure over the
intermountain west looks to bring warmer and drier weather. An upper
level ridge is expected to bring above average temperatures
beginning on Thursday.

FORECAST CONFIDENCE & DEVIATIONS:

Blended NBM day 1 and 2 winds with NBM90. There is high confidence
in northwest winds gusting above 25 mph in many locations through
tomorrow evening. There is moderate to high confidence in
precipitation occurring tonight and Sunday night, and
precipitation amounts remaining below 0.05 hundredths with both
systems. There is moderate to high confidence in near to above
average temperatures beginning on Thursday.
