The Flash Flood Watch is cancelled for portions of north central Kansas, including the following areas, Jewell, Phillips and Smith and Nebraska, including the following areas, Adams, Buffalo, Clay, Fillmore, Franklin, Greeley, Hall, Hamilton, Harlan, Howard, Kearney, Merrick, Nance, Nuckolls, Phelps, Polk, Sherman, Thayer, Valley, Webster and York. Although we have seen some appreciable rainfall totals to over 3 inches in some spots, it`s been more of a moderate/steady rain and is lacking the higher rates that would result in flooding from runoff. Although rainfall will continue off and on through the night, it will continue to be more of a light to moderate rainfall lacking the higher rates. Therefore, it`s becoming more unlikely that we will see enough runoff to result in flooding and thus the flood watch has been cancelled. $$ Wesely
