...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 215 AM CDT TUESDAY...

* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive
  rainfall is expected in the city of Grand Island.

* WHERE...A portion of south central Nebraska, including the
  following county, Hall.

* WHEN...Until 215 AM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas in
  and near Grand Island. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is
  occurring or is imminent.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 1009 PM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges
    indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms moving through the
    area. Total rainfall is expected to be less than 2 inches,
    but it will fall in a short time and likely cause some short-
    term flooding within the city of Grand Island.

    Grand Island.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
