.DISCUSSION...
Main forecast issue for much of the daytime hours today will lie with
increasing southerly winds and warmer temperatures. A northward-
lifting warm front this morning will usher in gusty southerly
winds...gusts near 30 MPH will be possible. Those gusts will linger
longer into the afternoon hours (and turning more southwesterly)
across south-southeastern portions of the area...while speeds taper
off further north-northwest as a cold front approaches the area.
Later in the afternoon/evening...this front will provide a focus for
better thunderstorm chances...some of which may be strong to severe.
This front pushes further south through the overnight
hours...ushering in a cooler Tuesday with northeasterly winds. Highs
this afternoon are expected to range from the mid 80s in the north to
mid-upper 90s in the south.
