This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for south central Nebraska and
portions of north central Kansas.

.DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight.

The probability for widespread hazardous weather is low.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday.

There is a low chance for isolated thunderstorms late Thursday
afternoon and evening, west of a line from Phillipsburg to Kearney
to Greeley. If these storms develop a few could become strong to
marginally severe.

Dangerous heat arrives Friday and lasts through the weekend. The
hottest day is expected to be Saturday with heat index values in
the 100 to 110 degree range across the entire area. An Extreme
Heat Watch is in effect Friday through Sunday for areas that are
most likely to see consecutive days of heat indices over 105
degrees. The heat will be combined with southerly winds gusting
35 to 45 MPH at times, providing some relief for outdoor
activities.

Chances for thunderstorms return to the area Sunday night and
last through the middle of next week.
