This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for south central Nebraska and
portions of north central Kansas.

.DAY ONE...Overnight.

No hazardous weather is expected at this time.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday.

On Tuesday afternoon, heat index values as hot as 100 to 102
degrees are expected mainly south of a line from Cambridge
Nebraska to Beloit Kansas.

Tuesday evening into early Wednesday morning, a line of strong to
severe thunderstorms is expected to move through much of our
forecast area from west-northwest to east-southeast, with the
potential to produce damaging wind gusts of 60 to 70 MPH, hail to
the size of ping pong balls, and heavy rain of at least 1 to 2
inches in some places. The primary time frame of concern is 8 PM
to 2 AM.

Following a break in thunderstorm chances for most of our area
Wednesday daytime, scattered thunderstorms may redevelop
Wednesday evening into early Thursday morning, especially near
and south of the Nebraska- Kansas border. Some of these storms may
be strong to marginally severe, and also produce heavy rain.

Thursday is expected to remain dry for most of the area, but off
and on chances for thunderstorms return Friday night through
Sunday.
